A WEBSITE TO HELP ITALIANS GROW TO KNOW GOD
Bible Lessons on Italian Media: Bible Survey in 50 lessons
Our passion for the reaching Italians with good Bible teaching begins before we arrive. While staying in America during COVID, Greg has prepared 50 Bible lessons that walk through the entire Bible in English. He and Angela are translating and producing them now to be posted and distributed to an Italian audience.
They are creating a website channel for this content and more called, "Nel Principio," a play on words in Italian that both reflect "the principle" or the conceptual motive for a doctrine, and the first words of Gen 1:1 and John 1:1, "In the beginning." This site will begin with a course through the Bible, but will be used as a place for teaching and discussion over a variety of biblical topics.
These discussions are meant to be accessible to all--the curious and those committed to Christ. Look at the sample below (in English) to better understand what we are hoping to produce for the Italian people.
A YEAR OF BIBLE STUDY FOR A LIFETIME OF PURSUING CHRIST AND IMPACTING THE WORLD
We are looking to find intersections between people who are seeking to know and grow in Christ from all over the world. The Italian church needs a place for young believers and future church leaders to grow in their walk with Christ, get to know each other, and learn the Bible and how to study and communicate it.
Our vision is to start a one-year Bible school in Italy. Our target audience would be an international student body of 18-24 year olds and would be a place for learning and studying the Bible with a particular emphasis on the transformed life that the indwelling resurrected Christ brings. Besides teaching, students will learn to live in community, and practice outreach.
Our hope is to both raise awareness and recruit workers from around the world for Italy, and raise up and disciple Italian young people who can band together to study God's Word and encourage each other to more effectively serve in local churches throughout Italy.
